Plumbing & electrical

Plumbing and electrical — done as part of your remodel, or on their own.

Panel upgrades, repipes, fixture relocations, kitchen and bath rough-ins, and code corrections — handled by licensed trades, coordinated with the rest of your remodel scope. Older San Diego homes often need updates discovered in demo; we catch them, price them, and bring them up to code.

What we handle in plumbing and electrical work.

From a single fixture upgrade to a whole-house repipe and panel:

  • Outdated electrical panels — sub-100A services, aluminum branch wiring, and panels lacking modern dedicated circuits.
  • Insufficient circuits for modern kitchens, baths, laundry, and EV charging.
  • Aging plumbing — galvanized lines and aging copper that fail under modern demand.
  • Fixture relocations during remodels — sinks, tubs, toilets, gas lines moved properly with permits.
  • New plumbing and electrical for kitchen and bath remodels — rough-in tied to the overall project scope.
  • Code violations exposed by remodel demo — brought up to current San Diego code with permits.
  • Smart-home and fixture upgrades integrated with the rest of the remodel finish work.

Whether part of a larger remodel or a standalone project, every plumbing or electrical scope starts with a free assessment and a written proposal.

How it works

Our 3-step process.

STEP 01

Assess & propose

On-site review of existing plumbing and electrical. We identify what's failing, what's functional, and what code requires. Written proposal follows with scope, materials, and timeline.

STEP 02

Permit & schedule

Required permits pulled in-house, licensed trades scheduled, and the scope coordinated with the rest of your remodel timeline if applicable.

STEP 03

Install & inspect

Work performed by licensed plumbers and electricians, inspections passed, and the new systems integrated cleanly with the finish work. Regular updates from your PM.

Why San Diego homeowners pick us for plumbing and electrical.

Part of the whole remodel

When plumbing or electrical work is part of a kitchen, bath, or ADU project, it sits inside the same written proposal — no separate contractor coordination, no scope gaps between trades.

Code-compliant and permitted

Most older San Diego homes need updates that demo exposes. We catch them, price them, and bring them up to code with permits — not buried inside the wall.

Licensed trades only

Plumbing and electrical work is performed by licensed plumbers and electricians. No day-laborers on safety-critical systems.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

  • Do I need to upgrade my electrical panel?

It depends — older panels (sub-100A, fused, or with aluminum branch wiring) often need updates, especially before adding modern kitchen circuits or EV charging. We check during the consultation and tell you honestly what's needed.

  • Can you repipe my house?

Yes — copper or PEX, depending on the situation and your preference. We pull the permits, schedule the licensed plumber, and coordinate the work so the house is back in service as quickly as possible.

  • Do you handle EV charger installation?

Yes, especially when paired with a panel upgrade or as part of a larger remodel scope. The install is permitted and inspected.

  • Is plumbing and electrical work part of my remodel cost, or separate?

Typically it's integrated into the remodel proposal as a line item, so you see the full project cost in one place. Standalone plumbing or electrical projects get their own proposal.

  • Is everything permitted?

Yes — both required and strongly recommended. Unpermitted plumbing or electrical work creates real problems at resale and during future remodels. We pull the permits and pass the inspections.
