Terms of service
Terms of service for Good Home Remodeling.
The rules for using this website and the services we provide. Plain language, no surprises.
Acceptance of these terms
By using this website or hiring Good Home Remodeling for work, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or our services.
About this website
This site is informational. The descriptions of our services, pricing ranges, and service area are general and meant to help you understand what we do. They are not contracts. Any work we perform is governed by the written estimate or work order we provide to you before starting the job.
Proposals and pricing
We give you a written proposal before we pick up a tool. Proposals are good-faith line-item quotes based on the information you give us and what we observe during the on-site consultation. If unexpected conditions appear during demo or construction, we'll stop, document the issue, price the fix as a written change order, and ask for your written approval before continuing.
Proposals are typically valid for 30 days. Material prices can move; we'll re-quote if a long delay shifts costs significantly.
Workmanship guarantee
We stand behind our workmanship. Specific guarantee duration and scope are documented in your written proposal and final contract. Typical exclusions:
- Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or unauthorized repairs by others after we leave
- Manufacturer defects in parts and appliances — those are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, which passes through to you
- Pre-existing problems we did not work on
- Wear-and-tear consumables outside their normal service life
- Damage from settling, seismic events, water intrusion from sources unrelated to our work, or modifications made by others post-completion
Scheduling and access
You agree to provide reasonable access to the work area, accurate information about the property, and a working point of contact during the job. We'll do our best to arrive within the window we agreed on; if we're running late, we'll call.
Payment
Payment schedules are written into your proposal and tied to project milestones — not paid upfront. We accept check, credit card, ACH, and Zelle. Late or unpaid invoices may be subject to interest charges and collection costs as permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
Our work involves inherent risks. We carry full insurance and a workmanship guarantee. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any single job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job, except where prohibited by law or where we've been negligent or breached our warranty obligations. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be lawfully limited.
Intellectual property

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of CA. Any dispute will be handled in the courts having jurisdiction over San Diego, CA.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives at this page. Material changes that affect existing customers will be communicated directly when relevant.
